  Tula: 1hr 23min

  Teotihuacán: 1hr 7min

Culture/History/Adventure

Discover the grandeur of ancient Mesoamerican civilizations in Tula and Teotihuacan. The history of the archaeological site of Tula dates back to 900 AD, when it was at its peak. Here you will find the remains of one of the oldest civilizations in the highlands, which influenced the pre-Hispanic cultures of the Gulf of Mexico and the Maya.

Teotihuacan is famous for being the most important site in North America and for its majestic Pyramids of the Sun and Moon. Teotihuacan, “the city where men become gods,” offers a travel experience that is well worth spending a whole day exploring.

These sites are not only archaeological treasures, but also places where you can feel the energy of the ancestors in the air.

Culture/Gastronomy/Tradition

When traveling through Pachuca, you can't miss visiting the Haciendas Pulqueras, or rather, former pulque haciendas, located on the outskirts of the capital city of Hidalgo. We recommend the iconic pulque haciendas of San Juan Pueblilla and Chimalpa, architectural examples of the importance of pulque, the ancestral drink of the ancient Mexicans.
There, you will enjoy a tour through the history of Mexico in the 17th and 18th centuries.
You must make a reservation in advance to gain access to the haciendas.

Culture/Tradition/Crafts

Speaking of former haciendas, there are two outside the state of Hidalgo, but due to their proximity and what they add to enrich your trip to Pachuca, we decided to include them. They are called Hacienda de Soltepec and Santa Bárbara, both located in the magical town of Huamantla.
During this travel experience, you can visit the pulque museum, the magical town, the puppet museum, and the organic artisan market (only on weekends).

In addition to the Convent Route, there are other convents that are worth visiting for their architectural and historical value. Such is the case of the former Convent of Los Santos Reyes, located in the magical town of Metztitlán.
This space is not only a historical monument but also a refuge of spirituality and art, perfect for immersing yourself in the religious history of the region.
